Mayo Street Arts will present PuppetKabob’s Dirty Gerts, a pop-up puppet show created entirely from repurposed paper materials. The performance follows a young middle schooler navigating creativity, acceptance, and the challenges of fitting in, drawing on 1960s pop culture and historical fiction. Each performance will include a Q&A with the artists, and PuppetKabob’s Sarah Frechette will lead workshops on pop-up puppet theater and paper sculpture at the University of Southern Maine and the Maine College of Art & Design.
